In my last journal I posted a video of the Wacom Inkling, which I WANT. Sadly, it was forever out of stock. I kept trying, but it was continually unavailable, unless you wanted to buy it on Ebay for 2x or more what it is going for retail. So I waited and waited and waited. Finally, yesterday I found it on Amazon. They only had two available!!! :omfg: I hopped up and down and threw down an order for that bad boy. Hopefully it will get here in time for my birthday. We shall see... :paranoid:

I wanted to share with you a MUST HAVE by Wacom  for digital artists coming out THIS MONTH!!! It's called Inkling and it is the most pants jizziest amazingly back flippiest piece of technology I've ever seen! I haven't been this excited about art supplies in a long, long time. I finally got myself a new computer built, one that I shouldn't be able to break with my arts. I'm back in front of a monitor, poking my pen around, making vectors! It's so good to be doing art again. I realize now how much I've missed it. I also realize now how cramped and limited I felt by my old set up. I am so happy with my new set up.

I realize I owe some of you emoticons and icons and I am so sorry to have made you wait. I have everything set up and ready to go again, so I'm happy to get them done now. I will do what I can to make it up to you all for having to wait so long. :heart:

Hey, hey, hey!

How's my favorite group of bandits (ahem) artists?

It's so amazingly beautiful here, this spring! I'm so glad to be out of Seattle and someplace with seasons and sunshine. I hope all of you are happy, too.

I'm around again, just not as much due to work and yoga... gotta get back in shape and all... :paranoid: However, I'm around more in chat than on my page. Please come visit. Hey everyone! Long time no me for joo!!! I've been busy learning my new job, moving, and trying to get my life back in order. I'm mostly back together now and wanting to get on with my life. So, here I am telling you all about it!

First, my job. I'm happy with my job! The reason I'm so happy with it is how much I like the people I work with. I've really met some great people there and I've been very happy to be making new friends. Seattle was such a comparably sterile environment, it's so nice to be back in an area where people are friendly and open and quick to befriend. The nice thing about working tech support is everyone is smart and knows about computers and a majority are gamers!

Now for moving. I've finally moved! I can has interwebz! I have a house! And a yard! And a kitchen! And stuff!!! :o It's awsesomesauce! Also, I have a roommate that I get along well with and I'm slowly accruing furniture and clothes and such. Now that I'm rid of the money sucking leech that is my ex-boyfriend I actually have money to spend on myself. I've managed to make a comfortable bed for myself and put together a nice bookshelf (bookshelves are important, you know). About all I need is a dresser and I'm set!

As for getting my life back in order, I'm pretty darn proud of myself. It's almost like the past years with Jake never happened. Seriously, I look back and mostly just remember life as if I lived alone. That may seem odd, but considering he mostly slept all the time, it's not surprising! :rofl: I truly wonder what I saw in him and why I was with him. I've pretty much always fallen for guys for who they are - personality, heart, mind, and spirit, so how did I end up with someone so self absorbed, thoughtless, and so lacking in joie de vivre? It was like dating a void! :lol: May the next man in my life be full of fun and love because I'm sure as hell sick of the full of shit scene!

I've missed all of you so very much. I love you all, you are dear friends and I'm very happy to have you in my life. So many of you have helped me so much in getting through the hard times I've been through recently. My life is so good right now and I'm not sure I could have made it to this point without the help and support of my friends here. If any of you need anything, please let me know and know that I cherish you all because you rock my socks (and I has teh cool socks)! Also, please drop by my chat #BaqTalk and say 'hi'. I'm mostly there late at night (U.S. tiemz) because I work late, but sometimes I might just surprise you...

For all my talk about how I was gonna be around more, I haven't been around much, huh? Sorry about that. I have an excuse, though! Really! I've been busy working and I've had to be up waaaay early (for me) for the day shift while I'm in training. If you know me well enough you know this against my nature (getting up early, not working... ). Now, I've been enjoying my new job. It's fun and there's geeky people, which is always a plus. I just can't seem to get to bed early. If that weren't enough to do, I've also found a 'new' place (a friend could use a roommate)and so I've been preparing to move. Soon I will have time and...

So, most of the drama and weirdness from my previous journal is over, though I did have another run in with that weird woman and she accused me of having 17 abortions! :lol: And the Ex-Mr. Baq actually had the audacity to ask me to come by the hospital on my way to my first day at my new job and drop off some money for him, which made me :rofl:! Other than that, it's all going well.

I started my new job yesterday. I'm pretty excited about it. I will be helping people with their hp laptop problems! :giggle: I have several weeks of training before I actually do the job, but it's been fun so far and it's nice to work with folks who know computers and love video games, even if it's pretty much all men in my training class except me and one other girl... :paranoid:

Also, I have my desktop moved into my room, reformatted, and now sporting Windows 7, so I should be able to be online and do art at the same time and you will hopefully be seeing more of me again! :dummy:

That's right, I'm single for the first time in nearly 10 years!

What happened, you ask? Well, grab a cup of hot cocoa or a glass of wine and settle in for the weirdest break up story you've probably ever heard...

Tuesday December 21st I am awakened by a call from the then not yet Ex. Mr. Baq. He can barely talk, but manages to tell me he was in a bad car wreck and is in the hospital and asks me to come see him. Naturally, I jump up, get my things together, and go to see him.

When I get there he is in pre-op and they tell me "Teresa is with him :)". I'm all... who is Teresa?... :o"

Ok, now, to keep this story from being too extra long we will flash forward to several hours later after he's out of surgery and starting to come around...

I am in his hospital room and so is another woman I've never seen before. When the then still not yet Ex. Mr. Baq finally becomes coherent enough to make some sense, he introduces me to her. I ask him why she is there and he tells me, "We fell in love." Hurt and confused, I grab my things and start to leave. He asks me to stay. I turn to him and say, "Why should I stay and why did you even call me and ask me to come see you? " and SHE says to me, "He needs your spiritual guidance right now." I'm sure you can imagine my reply to that, but in case you can't, I said, "YOU CAN SHOVE MY SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE UP YOUR ASS, BITCH!!! " Then she says to me, "I had a miscarriage and it is your fault, you killed my baby."

WTF? MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS TO ME, RIGHT?

We've found out he's been using meth and is probably in withdrawal right now, so there he is, at the hospital with a woman he can't possibly have known more than three months at the outside, a meth addiction, two broken ribs, a punctured lung, a broken femur, fibula, and crushed ankle and no more me. I guess my Christmas won't be the truly sucky one!

So, that is what is happening in my life. How are all of you, my well loved friends? :lol:

New Emote Account, Commissions, And Other Stuffs

The emotes are taking over my gallery, so I've decided to make a new account just for them. I won't be moving any emotes from here to there, just putting any new emotes there instead of here... ANYWAYS! My new emote account is ~Baq-Yard It is so new I do not have an avatar for it! Anyone that makes me an avatar for it (because I am unbelievably lazy sometimes) that I choose will get a free emote. You are welcome to use my emotes to make it, but it must be snazzy and I must decide it is the one I want to use, so MINI-CONTEST!!!

Mr. Baq has a job driving a cab at nights, now, so I've been getting online a bit in the evenings. I'm mostly limited to after he leaves and before the internet coffee shop closes, but I'm here. If you chat you can find me there. I'll be trying to catch up with my account for awhile! :lol:

Hey Everyone!

I was looking through my notes and all and decided I needed to let y'all know that I haven't gone away, I'm just living somewhere without internet, so getting online is a challenge. I wish I had time to reply to everyone right now, but hopefully I'll be baq in the swing of things soon. I love you all and miss you all very much.

One thing I will say is... if you have a PS3 and you love RPGs, I personally recommend you avoid purchasing FF XIII until it's much less, like $20... GAH! Oh, and don't even bother with Dragon Age. Instead, do yourself a favor and buy Oblivion and Fallout 3. Be sure to get the game of the year editions. I don't think I've seen such awesome RPGs since Baldur's Gate for PC.

Anyway, I miss all of you and think about you every day.  :hug:

Mom

We just returned from visiting Mom in Michigan. She was still lucid when I got there and it was good to see her again. We stuck around for several hours the first day and got to chat with her a little bit. When we left she said goodbye and that my hair looked pretty and that she loved me. That's the last I really got to talk to her. She wasn't conscious the next day. We sat with her for several hours and she never really did wake up. She died Friday morning, just a few hours after we left.

I'm really glad to have had a chance to see her again. I'm really glad that we moved to Missouri when we did. I don't think we could have made it in time if we'd still been in Seattle.

Goodbye, Mom. I will miss you so very, very much. :(

I'm sorry I haven't answered any of the comments in my last journal. I'm sure you all understand. I'm very grateful for the kindness and love you all have sent me. It means a lot to me. I know my mom was really grateful for all the love people here sent her way while she was fighting this illness. Your kindness and thoughtfulness touched her heart. Thank you all so very much, I love all of you. :heart:

It looks like we might be staying at my dad's through the winter, so I might be a bit scarce until spring. I'll try to get back on as much as I can. It's always nice to have an excuse to go to the coffee shop. :giggle:

I miss you all. I'll be glad to have me own interwebz again. I send you all hugz and luffz from moi. :blowkiss:

End of an Era

I got the news the other day - the cancer my mom has fought for these two, nearly three years, has metastasized to her lungs and liver. Her doctor has told her it would be unethical to treat her any further. There's nothing more they can do but make her as comfortable as possible.

I will be heading up to Michigan to see her soon. I probably won't be online much for awhile. I really miss you all. The friendship and love I've gotten from each and every one of you means so very much to me. I love you all and I look forward to when I'm better able to visit and hang out, hopefully this fall.

Life in the Ozarks

Well, we've made it safe and sound. My home town has become an art town, it seems, or at least is trying to be. Small privately owned coffee shops and art galleries abound and now there's an art walk downtown on the first Friday of every month! Two doors down from us is an internet cafe with art displayed and live music. It's hot and the sunshine is much stronger than what we're used to, but the nights are balmy and awesome. This evening we watched the bats come out from the old buildings and listened to the cicadas start singing. We're less than half a mile from a park with outdoor grills (I'm pretty sure all the parks here have outdoor grills), so cooking out should be fun. The people here are so friendly! So many people in Seattle are so nasty and stuck-up that they won't even look at you if you say "hi" to them. Here we've had people saying "hi" to us before we had a chance to say anything! It's very refreshing. No need to wrap up in blankets at night.

Mr. Baq has been very excited about finding large bugs around. We went out to dinner with a friend and he went outside to smoke. When I went out and found him, he was holding something. I asked him what he had and he said, "I don't know, but it's huge! It turned out to be a katydid! Later we found a praying mantis, which he at first thought was a small bird. I'm looking forward to when he finds a walking stick, a large grasshopper, a moon moth, or any number of large bugs! :giggle:

So, that's what's up. I don't have regular internet and it'll be awhile before I have the opportunity to really spend much time online, since I have to focus on getting a license, a job, and a place to live! I miss you all. I'll drop by when I can. :love: :cuddle:

Au Revoir

A NEW LIFE






This is probably my last night with high-speed internet. I will have dial-up, but it's very sad and slow and I won't have a lot of time to use it. I'll try to drop by again, if I can, before I leave and I'll try to get to an internet cafe here and there until we get our own place and finally have interwebs again.

I will miss you all so very much, my friends. I'm getting all teary writing this! Don't think that I've deserted you, you have to know that dA will be my first stop when I'm back online.

We are off on an adventure, to find a new life away from the addictions and expense and wretched weather of this city. We aren't the only ones, either. Almost half of our apartment building is moving this month, many, like myself, are leaving the city because we can no longer afford to live here. It's all for the best, though. We will have a car, a place to live, and food to eat where we are going and much, much more stability than we have now.

So, until we meet again... :cuddle:

It's time to leave the Emerald City and though my goal is not Kansas, I will be heading through there on my way next door to Missouri!

We bought our bus tickets and we're heading out the morning of August 5th. We'll be traveling Greyhound, since their rates went back down, and going straight to Springfield... well, actually it's more of a zig-zag, but it's a more direct route than via Chicago! :giggle: I'm really sorry to those folks in the Chicago area we were going to visit, but we will be dropping by the area as soon as we can.

There are three stops we'll be making that are at least an hour. Let me know if you're in the area and wish to meet up with us, especially the Kansas City area, as we're stuck there for five hours with nothing to do! :lol:

August 5th

Spokane, WA - 4:10 pm - 5:15 pm

August 6th

Denver, CO - 6:30 pm - 11:30 pm - meeting up with a long lost friend from childhood! :excited:

August 7th

Kansas City, MO - 11:50 am - 5:00 pm

We're going to have a car when we get to Springfield, once I get my license again, so we'll actually be able to visit anyone in the nearby area.

We probably won't have much internet access for awhile after we move, unless I can find a good connection for cheap we'll be stuck with dial-up and internet cafes. Once we get settled, though, life should be much better and much easier and we'll be baq in the 21st century! :eager:
