Changed the weird part of the background to look more smooth and natural. Hope it looks ok now. :)

If you aren't fond of the beach background, there's a more pop art traditionally vectoresque background altertative here.

Anyways, here's my second gradient mesh and first gradient mesh portrait. I know it's not all super realistic, but I still like the outcome. The hair was a real bitch, I must say, but that was mostly because it was trial and error.

The photo of the girl is quite small, for working with vectors - 400 x 359. That might explain why I've had some troubles! :lol:

The girl's name is Andrea. She is from Roseville, California. She has a profile by the name of dangerbitch on livejournal, but it hasn't been updated since around 2005. If anyone knows her, please contact her and let her know I made a portrait of her. :)

Made in Illustrator CS3 - gradient mesh with some pen and brush.
